Mario Arlati (Italian, b.1947) was born in Milan. He received his artistic training at the art school at Castello Sforzesco, and then moved to Ibiza in the early 1970s, where he currently spends most of the year.
From his early figurative works, he moved on to an informal “materic” style, following in the footsteps of the Spanish School. His “walls” are a representation of the bright, sunny atmosphere of the island, of the symbiosis between man and nature, the incessant action of the sun, the wind and the sea on the works of man, giving life to unique, incomparable objects.
