Architectural historian and photographer Julia Reyes Taubman hosts a celebration of her new book, Detroit: 138 Square Miles, at the Whitney Museum of American Art on Tuesday, Nov. 15, 2011. The book begins with an essay by Detroit native Elmore Leonard. The pictures here are from the Whitney celebration, plus two snaps by Pedro Vélez from the Chicago book party.
