CLOSE Gallery is a contemporary art gallery owned by Freeny Yianni.
Established in 2009 the gallery has worked with emerging and established artists, to develop new projects and exhibitions. across a variety of media and genres. Estate of Jane Harris in collaboration with Prue O'Day and Grenville Davey in collaboration with Sennen Davey. From inception the gallery worked from the 17th Century Mansion and by 2019 CLOSE has extended its program and now represents As an art dealer and a curator Freeny Yianni nurtures a deep and enduring pathway for the arts and the artists she is privileged to work with. The headquarters of CLOSE is based in Somerset at Yianni's West Country Estate. The gallery has helped foster the careers of some of the most influential artists working today, including Simon Hitchens, Caralli McCall, Trish Morrissey, Stewart Geddes, Suzanne Blank Redstone, Anna Mossman, Oswaldo Macia, Helen Barff, Katherine Perrins.
Freeny Yianni has expanded and now curates exhibitions independently including working for MECA Bordeaux FRAC, France, RWA, Bristol, UK, and The South West Heritage Trust, UK. She is also the Co-Chair of a West Country Charity Somerset Art Works (SAW) which is committed to developing partnerships within the environment, heritage and health sectors to reach wider communities and areas with low arts engagement. SAW works to increase public engagement, weaving together communities and raising the profile of the vibrant contemporary visual, digital and applied arts scene in Somerset and internationally. SAW will be holding its next Away Day at Hauser and Wirth, Somerset.
