Mario Arlati

(Italian, born 1947)

Mario Arlati is a contemporary Italian artist known for his sculpture-like paintings depicting various international flags. Born in 1947 in Milan, Italy, he went on to attend the School of Applied Arts of Castello Sforzesco in his hometown. In 1970, Arlati moved to Ibiza, Spain, where he began exploring ways to convey the sunshine and ocean views of his new home. The artist continues to live and work between Milan, Italy and Ibiza, Spain.
