Description
Lionel Estève (b. 1967) uses a variety of materials, such as stone, paper, thread, wire, and plastic, to deviate from traditional manufacturing methods and work in a unique way that is not limited to materials. Lionel is constantly devoted to studying differentiated expressions, and continues to devise his own methods, exploring the possibilities of new expressions and discovering the possibilities of new paintings and repeating the challenges. The title means "Paper of Provence" in French, which repeats works of drying and coloring flowers collected by the artist. This is the result of Lionel's long-term experiment to capture the frame of nature, and we can find the possibility of art created by natural materials called 'flowers'. Not limited to one genre, he attempts to practice many different types of visual art such as painting, sculpture and installation to expand his definition of art, and the direction he has mainly worked with is a form that seems to originate from nature, such as flowers, seeds, stones, and cells using colorful colors and various materials. He talks about the emotional relationship between humans and nature through his works.
