Hélène Modébadzé (French, born )

Hélène Modébadzè (French, b.1964) is a sculptor born in Paris, France. She initially studied literature, art, and communications at Sorbonne University, and went on to study art for four years at the École des Beaux Arts in Paris. There she discovered the technique of direct carving, which she continues to employ to this day. Since 2008, she has been living and working in her studio near Paris. In 2014, she was represented by Visio Dell’Arte Max Laniado Gallery, in both Paris and New York.
