Maddox Gallery is proud to present a new exhibition, open to the public from 18th December: Morpheus.
Monsters, creatures, and other-worldly beings. They are all around us in our everyday. Often, they are portrayed in a negative light, with unattractive and undesirable connotations. From politicians to villains in films, they are aliens in our world. However, if you only dare to look from another angle, you are able to view them in a novel manner as dreams filled with your wildest fantasies. Morpheus, after all, is the mythological Greek god of sleep and dreams.
In this group show, the artists depict playful animal-like beings and creatures, who invite the viewer to explore not only their fears but to broaden their imagination beyond strict boundaries, creating lively and child-like illusions.
