Galerie Krinzinger was founded in 1971. Since then at least 400 solo, group and topic shows have been organized. The main issue of the gallery program results on one side from international performance art and body related art (Chris Burden, Mike Kelley, Paul McCarthy, Nancy Rubins) based originally on Viennese actionism (Günter Brus, Otto Muehl, Hermann Nitsch, Rudolf Schwarzkogler). Furthermore, the gallery has always been working with young national and international artists and is representing the following younger artists: Atelier van Lieshout, Kader Attia, Dubossarsky & Vinogradov, Erik van Lieshout, Jonathan Meese, Bjarne Melgaard, Werner Reiterer, Eva Schlegel, Frank Thiel, Gavin Turk, Martin Walde, Mark Wallinger and Thomas Zipp. The latest additions to the program are results of Ursula Krinzinger's researchs in the USA, the United Arab Emirates, China, Japan and India: Andy Coolquitt, Frank Haines, Laleh Khorramian, Zhang Ding, Shintaro Miyake and Sudarshan Shetty. Besides the gallery program, Ursula Krinzinger also organizes and curates exhibitions in various spaces outside the gallery, including the Galerie Krinzinger project space: Krinzinger Projekte, which was founded in 2002. Internationally orientated, group and topic exhibitions define the Krinzinger Projekte program, that quickly earned an international reputation. In addition, Galerie Krinzinger and Krinzinger Projekte invite artists to participate in their residency program, that currently includes destinations in Austria, Hungary and Sri Lanka.
