Kris Dey is a California artist who studied textiles at UCLA in the early 1970s. She became known across the country in 1977 when she was included in "Wall Hangings: The New Classicism," at the Museum of Modern Art, New York in 1977. More recently her work was in "Made in California: Art, Image and Identity, 1900-2000," at Los Angeles County Museum of Art in 2001.
