Born in Midland, NC, in 1936, Barrett studied at the Massachusetts College of Art in Boston and at the Tyler School of Art in Philadelphia. Barrett's favorite subjects include the landscape surrounding New Hope, PA and many local landmarks often encompassing figures into his compositions.
