Description
Produced by Edizioni Galleria Colombari. In 1994, Edizioni Galleria Colombari began to produce the line “Homage to Carlo Mollino”, which includes reproductions of key pieces of Mollino’s oeuvre.
The Suora Lamp (a reproduction of the original Cadma Lamp) has been re-produced since 1994. It has been exhibited in many important museums in Paris, Amsterdam, Darmstadt, and Milan. Paola and Rossella Colombari were the first Gallery to discover the pieces of Carlo Mollino in 1981 and since this date they have supported his work through extensive research, curating many exhibitions in museums and galleries, as well as two important auctions of his work (in Venice in 1985 and Christie’s London in 2001). In 2005, Paola and Rossella Colombari curated the first catalogue of Mollino’s furniture, "Carlo Mollino: Catalogo dei Mobili", edited by Idea Books. The Cadma Lamp is published in this book.
In 1994, Paola Colombari founded the reproduction series “Homage to Carlo Mollino” produced by Edizioni Galleria Colombari.
Today, Paola and Rossella have two galleries: the Galleria Rossella Colombari specializing in historical Italian twentieth century design and Edizioni Galleria Colombari specializing in contemporary avantgarde design-art and the reproduction series “Homage to Carlo Mollino”.
